Heywan Gessesse, DDS
Dr. Gessesse earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University before completing a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, where she graduated summa cum laude. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she was recognized with the Dr. Curtis N. Adams Sr. Award from the Maryland Dental Society. Following dental school, she completed a comprehensive Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in Los Angeles, gaining specialized training in treating patients with complex dental and medical needs. Dr. Gessesse believes in combining skill with compassion, creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, valued, and truly cared for. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Gessesse enjoys traveling, reading, swimming, and exploring new foods. She strives to build meaningful connections with her patients and takes pride in helping them feel at ease while achieving their healthiest, most confident smiles. |
