This can be caused by several different things, including not eating enough fruits and vegetables daily, not drinking enough water during the day (which also affects how your body absorbs nutrients), and certain medications that may cause a loss of vitamins and minerals.
Canker Sores
Canker sores are little ulcers that show up in the mouth and can cause irritation, lack of taste/smell, as well as a numb or tingling tongue. They typically heal on their own within two weeks, but if you do not drink enough water during this time, it may take longer to get rid of them.
